A - Z Challenge: H

H is for.........................Hidalgo. This is a good old fashioned family film starring Viggo Mortensen from The Lord Of The Rings as Frank Hopkins who agrees to ride Hidalgo, his Mustang, in a 3000 mile race across the desert. Will the duo's bond be enough to help them survive, or even win? Check out the trailer.

  1. I saw this movie. It's one that's better on the big screen to get the full appreciation of the desert scenes.

  2. I haven't even heard of this film, but I'm certainly going to try and see it. Loving this A-Z idea, it's a real eye-opener.

  3. Hi Karen, I agree but I'd say all movies are better on the big screen.

Joseph, I'm enjoying the A-Z too, it's giving me a chance to mention some little known gems. My plan was to make it an offshoot of the Ric Recommends feature of the blog and I think it's working. I've also been able to work in some current info.

  4. it was a nice little film, and it's interesting that Viggo bought both the horse he rode in HIDALGO and the one from LORD OF THE RINGS after the production of the films.

  7. I did not see this movie. I am not sure why because I was aware of it when it came out. I will have to rent it now.

  8. Dez & Alex, yes Viggo must truly bond with them.

Ms, A History...was a bit too slow for me.

Gregg, if you get round to seeing it I hope you enjoy it.
